I have a couple of sites running on XOOPS 1.0 RC3.0.5. This version is still very stable, but you guys have added a lot of usefull features in the final version 2. (like improved banner options, more and better modules and enhanced admin panel)

How can I upgrade to the latest version? I did some experiments but the installer seems not to recognize that I have already a version running.

Should I upgrade to a version 2 RC first and than to the final? (the database has to be converted to the v2 system)

I cannot risk that my sites are getting unusable.

I would try to update the site to XOOPS 1.3.10 which is the latest build of the XOOPS 1 series. If this goes well you shouldn't have much problems in upgrading to XOOPS 2.

But please test ist firstly on your local system!!
