I'm confused, is it the language pack, rc3?

becuase i upgraded from 2.0.5 to 2.0.6 and i'm trying to install modules that refer to the following files:
registration.php
include/registrationform.php
language/english/user.php
modules/system/constants.php
modules/system/menu.php
modules/system/language/english/admin/preferences.php
modules/system/language/english/modinfo.php
modules/system/language/english/admin.php

and they are all the same but one. registration.php is register.php on my system. is this a problem?

oh.. nevermind about the filename difference thingy.. it was a problem in the module's documentation (confusing) but my question as far as RC still stands.

RC stands for Release Candidate, and it is a pre-release vesion published for bug testing by the community. Not suited for live sites and production environments.

Now Herko, lets tell the truth here, RC doesn't stand for Release Candidate, it means (well in the case of my modules anyway) Really Crap until the full release comes out!

hmm.. strange how many of these new modules are built around release candidates.

Thanks so much for your quick replies, everyone! Glad to know there's a listening ear. :)

I'm working on a community site for a summer solstice festival. I'm quite happy with the features and ease of use of the XOOPS product. We were running phpbb as a message board, so i was very happy to find a module for xoops.

If i knew more about the technology behind (php, etc) i'd be willing to help with the documentation effort, which in my opinon needs some serious help. Not to demean the efforts of those who have put hours and hours into the wiki, but it is far from complete.

Once the site is ready, i'll be sure to submit it for discussion.

Cheers!
