G'day everyone,

How do you insert a shockwave flash object into a forum post or into a custom block??

I thought the code was the same as the image code:

[ img ] blah blah blah .swf [ /img ] - subtract the space bars.

but obviously this is not working for me so that is why I am here......LOL

It's driving me nuts!!

For a custom block, change the format of it to html and then write in the code as in html.

As for forums, i don't believe you can actually put shockwave into them.

Thanks cuckston......the reason i thought it was possible using the "img" code is because it works in other php website software like phpBB and others like it. It would be cool if there was a simple code for it though.

there will be an expended code function released soon, I think.

There is a such hack in www.bbchen.org

but it's a Chinese site

But the are some security problems if a flash can post in you forum directly.(stole cookies or use getURL to popup windows and so on)

The code is being tested for official release.

A beta version can be found at newbb @ Dev.xoops
