putting module's output to page

I just developed notification module. It's similar to greeter described at kickstart guide. Now i need to place it's output to site's template. Say, in Greeter's case, i want to see it's greeting at all pages, for example, in right column.
How can i do this?

The problem was solved by writing a block to a module and placing it to sidecolumn.

Xoops has poor documentation about modules development. Most information was gained by viewing other modules's code... so :(

I am going through the same pain of trying to learn how they work

Perhaps you have seen this already, but there is some info available in the Dev Wiki on the developers site.

There is also a sample module that has some useful comments in it as well (thank you Carnuke for pointing me to this one).

I've seen Dev Wiki.
"3.4.2.1 ?Kickstart guide to make a Block" is empty. Maybe i can fill this part? I think would be nice to write it as "further development" of 'Greeter' module :)
