Two questions.

1. How does one change the title of the mods listed in the main menu

2. How does one prevent a mod from being listed in the main menu

Regards...

Go to System Admin>Modules The names you provide there will reflect how they are displayed in the main menu on your site

In the Same window that you named your Module item, set the number to '0'. This will hide your module from the menu and keep it activated for your needs.

Perfect... That did it. As many times as I browsed thru that area, it never dawned on me that I could change the titles. It just takes someone to say it sometimes and the lightbulb goes on.

It happens to us all when being introduced to a new system. Soon you'll find many of the features "old hat" and building a great site in no time!

Happy Xoops'ing

Cheers!

Once the Module is hidden by setting order to "0", I was not able to change the order anymore. The order text box is missing from the admin page. Any idea how I can get it back?
I tried uninstall and re-install, still didn't work.
I am using hte iMenu module.

THanks.

All I can suggest is to remove the module (again sorry) from your admin, jump into phpmyadmin and delete any remaining tables you see. Looks like a table entry might have been missed somewhere, but i'm guessing at this point.

That happen to me as well. I used phpmyadmin to find the table in MySQL and just changed the code field to a recognizable number (one other than 0) for the module.
