Hello all,

I've recently purchased a new domain for my site and have installed XOOPS 2.0.6. All is going well except that I am having trouble importing my user list.

I did an export of the xoops_users table. I checked out the file and all looks fine, the user names and address data is there. I tried using PHP MyAdmin to integrate the data back into the newly created xoops_users file which seemed to go ok but when I go to check out my list of users all I get is a pulldown menu with numbers 1-104.

Admittedly, I am a dilettante when it comes to anything database-related so I'm not even sure that I exported the correct table or if I'm missing an important step.

Any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Do you have a full backup of your old XOOPS install, including the database?

The way to move XOOPS from one server to another is to copy over all the files, import the entire database, and edit mainfile.php to update the paths and database connection parameters.

Unfortunately, I do not have a backup of the old DB. It looks like I may have to enter the info in by hand and ask the users to reset their passwords....ugh...

Thanks for the speedy reply!
