How to disable "Submit News" from the menu bar?

Hi, I am new to XOOPS.

1. Can anyone tell me how to disable the "Submit News" action from the menu bar?

2. Make the Section Links available to public (access by anonymous)?

For #1 -- edit file modules/news/xoops_version.php. Comment out (or delete) lines 93 & 94.

$modversion['sub'][1]['name'] = _MI_NEWS_SMNAME1;
$modversion['sub'][1]['url'] = "submit.php";


For #2 -- sorry I don't use sections, but it sounds like a permissions issue. Check admin -> group -> anonymous... and check off permission for sections. Maybe others will know better.
