Hello,

I have had the blank page problem after install.
You can see the PHP config athttp://passionbonsai.free.fr/phptest.php

After allowing verbose mode, I got the following message :

parse error in class/smarty/smarty_compiled line 1800

In order to make a test, I commented from lines 1797 to 1806 in the smarty_compiled file. Of course, I got another error, then uncomment lines 1797 to 1806 and then surprised, the login screen appeared : it seemed to work !!

But now if , logged as admin, I go to admin menu/preferences and then choose edit, I have the following error :

Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: xoopsformbutton in /var/www/free.fr/c/5/passionbonsai/modules/system/admin/preferences/main.php on line 216

Any idea would be welcome as I am not a PHP/Mysql expert, especially for object programming ...

I think there is something wrong with your installation.
Normally it is not necessary to uncomment something.
(Or did you make some changes to the theme, so that smarty came with an error?)

To be sure that your files are all ok you can download and install the checker module (and the appropriate XML checker files).
Then you can check if the files are ok, and then you can upload the missing or wrong ones.

If this doesn't help you with the blank page problem,
please come back.

So you are a bonsai enthusiast as well ? I am set-ing up a bonsai-club in my country. Lot of stuff but great bonsai for the future I hope ...

Thanks for the information.

I deleted all files in the template_c directory, reloaded the page and it works now.

I installed few modules (tinypages, i-menu) and have some php error and warning displaying in the bottom of the pages (you can see athttp://passionbonsai.free.fr ). I will look a little bit by myself and come back towards the forum if I need any clues.
