Hi

One of our people is having trouble submitting content into XOOPS from their laptop (this problem is specific to their machine, which runs Windows XP and IE 6). They have administration rights, but when they try and submit content (for example a new link) they get the following error:

Error Code: 0013
ERROR: Could not query the database.
Error:

I thought it might be a firewall problem as another admin user reported the same issue, which was resolved by disabling an installation of Zone Alarm.

However, in this case the user doesn't have a personal firewall (other than the built-in firewall in Windows XP, which I have disabled). They can log in ok.

I'm a bit stuck for ideas. Any suggestions ?

Hi My friend had a similar problem. when he disabled norton firewall, the problem was fixed! so it's really a firewall thing.

This is driving me crazy as well, but in a different context:

When I attempt to "Submit" in the MyDownloads section, I am getting this error. I've re-installed XOOPS a few times, and it works initially. But, as I work on the site, activate modules, alter templates, etc. the error eventually comes back...

... could it be detecting too much IP traffice from me and shutting me out or something?

and the problem was gone.
