Some themes drop in and work by ftp. Some, like the 7Dana themes(The best I have seen, for my needs...) do not. After helping me with some theme issues the other day, Goran(sevend) told me that I must install them with "auto ascii upload". Ok. I can do that. So I fired up gFTP and uploaded them to the themes folder with an ASCII transfer.

No go. Blank page.

So I go and dig and it says something about doing it with the "Theme Manager"(now template manager). So I tar up one and do it.

No go. Blank page. Tried Krusader. Nope. tried Kbear. Nope.


So, what am I missing? What are the best instructions for getting a theme to work in XOOPS 2.0.6., first time, every time? What is the best way to install them, because if it IS the Template Manager, that dog don't hunt in 2.0.6.

BTW: Goran, yer' a prince. You should be carried around in a sedan chair, by 6 well-oiled slaves, for the rest of your life.
