I did the rounds of free hosts. It as no problem for me at the time because I was only working on experimental stuff. They all went down in one way or another. One decided it was doing away with the free service, so everyone would have to upgrade or go. Another simply crashed my site and never restored the files. Another was down more times than up. Another started serving ads. Plus I never felt really secure about the bandwidth of space allowances of any of them.

NOW I pay $10 /nonth for 300mb and 2gb b/w all with cpanel and daily backups. They can't do enough to help me either!

$10 buys a lot of peace of mind when you consider the time and creative effort of building a site!

Just my thoughts...

3DPixelnet is one I use - and strongly recommend!

They've just released a new package - which is £4.99 per month (about $9) with:

1000MB webspace / 10GB Traffic (per month)
2 MySQL databases / 100 POP3/IMAP emails
5 domains allowed

Although they also do packages that start from about £17.50 per year....

(No I don't work for them... just very pleased with the great service!!!)
