Hi, I'm having problems updating my database through the system administration.

I've tried updating blocks, content and registering a new user, but to no avail. I went into phpMyadmin and it seems to working right. The site shows up correctly and existing user accounts work.

I was just wondering if this is a XOOPS issue or possibly a database issue. I haven't changed the database at all.

Thanks!

OK, I got it working, sorry for the post.

I'm not sure, but it may have been a firewall issue. I disabled my firewall and then it started working again.

Though I've updated the database through the XOOPS admin panel with the firewall up, so I'm still a little lost as to why it was acting that way.

Xoops check the HTTP referrer on each page load and if your software firewall blocks that one, you won't be allowed (by XOOPS) to do inserts or updates in the database.

I don't think the phpmyadmin module for XOOPS uses the database class, but sets up connection and runs SQL statements itself and thus bypassing the HTTP referrer check.
