the user avatars aren't working properly..

it doesn't matter what size i set the limit to in admin user settings, the user can still upload any size image..

ie.. i've set a max avatar size of 100 width and 100 height and a max file size of 25000 bytes but users are still able to upload images larger than these dimensions..

any help wud be appreciated, as some of the users custom photos are now beginning to mess the forums up, and i don't want to have to keep manually downloading the image and resizing it then uploading it back..

You've set "Avatar image max width (pixel)" and "Avatar image max height (pixel)" to 100 in Admin >> System Admin >> Preferences >> User Info Settings ?

If so, are you running XOOPS 2.0.5.2?

I just tested this on XOOPS 2.0.5.2 (my setting is 80x80), and it worked correctly. It allowed an 80x80 image, but rejected images with dimensions 81x81, 81x80 and 80x81.

yes, running 2.0.5.2...

i thought it might have been the ones i copied across from old as they were already there and not uploaded by the user..

but i've just uploaded 1 on my own account which was 250 x 383 pixels and it allowed it even tho the limits are set to 100 x 100

there is probably something wrong with ur host. I had problems with yahoo hosting i could not upload anything throught my site. Check the chmod for uploads folder that mite help as well.

i also can't upload user avatar to my website.i am using XOOPS 2.0.6
