Using xoopsGallery 1.3.3 and when I do a magick check I get the following errors:

Checking "C:\Program Files\ImageMagick\identify.exe"
Error! (Expected status: 0, but actually received status: 1)

Checking "C:\Program Files\ImageMagick\convert.exe"
Error! (Expected status: 0, but actually received status: 1)

Checking "C:\Program Files\ImageMagick\composite.exe"
Error! (Expected status: 0, but actually received status: 1)

Any help appreciated

AGH! I fixed it. xoopsgallery does not like it when you use long filenames or spaces. I moved the install path to c:\imagemagick and the issue is resolved

But now when I go to upload a file it says:

Processing status...
- Adding halloween2003.jpg

Executing:

C:\ImageMagick\convert -quality 100 -size 150x150 "C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\htdocs\modules\xoopsgallery\cache\albums\album06\aaa.jpg" -geometry 150x150 +profile "*" "C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\htdocs\modules\xoopsgallery\cache\albums\album06\aaa.thumb.jpg"

Results:

none

Error messages:

Status: 0 (expected 0)
Error: Unable to make thumbnail (0)!
Need help? Look in the Gallery FAQ

I did look in the FAQ under unable to make thumbnail and still no luck. I gave the folder 'everyone' permissions.

Any help appreciated.

This is just from personal experience, but I always seem to have an easier time getting NetPBM to work than I do ImageMagick. There are precompiled binaries for Win32 from the main Gallery SourceForge page.
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/gallery/netpbm1.1-gallery1.0-win32.tgz?download

If this works, then the problem is pinned down to something strange with the ImageMagick installation. If it still generates errors, it might go deeper than that.

Either way, I reccomend keeping these just below your site root in something like:
C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\NetPBM\

Let me know how it goes, and good luck!

I only use NetPBM and has never run into any problems, thumbnails are generated and resize and rotation of images can be done. Just get the latest binaries for netpbm.

Well after trying BOTH I was having various issues with pbm and magick. So I decided to do some basic troubleshooting.

After several 'change a setting, try to upload' routines I discoved when I turned 'use flock()' to off ALL my issues went away and people could upload once more without issue.

Thanks to everyone for all the input.

ok.. now its acting up again and I didnt touch a thing *grumble*

When I do a netpbm test on the xoopsgallery menu it just hangs. tho imagemagick test works fine. but IM fails to make thumbnails for me.

Its weird how it was working fine yesterday and now I cant upload a pic without it hanging on me.

Any thoughts?
