Can't install modules. Help!

I have just installed XOOPS 2.0.5 on my gentoo linux system.

But when I install a new module like news,pools etc, it give me a blank page.

What is the problem?

Turn on php-debug in the system admin -> preferences -> general settings page, and try again. Report the errors you get here in the forum so we can find out what is causing thing.

By the way, there have been more reports of XOOPS not running correctly on Gentoo distro's, so it might be a Gentoo config thing.
