Please fix it so articles and content such as the sopecial blocks content displayes the Category, Author's real name if they have one and automatically wrap the articles/content around the pic of the author if they have one in their profile, and the author name should be directly under the article title.

The issue you mention has to do with how to display to the end user, and that is manageable through the template. What XOOPS does indeed need --and it's been discussed elsewhere in these forums-- is the need for content to be granular so the designer can separate stuff and display it at will.

This has been taken into account and my understanding is that both core and module developers will try to make sure content categories are dealt with separate variables in the next versions.
