i searching for a roommate finder module to give better service to students on my site..
from the hotscripts i found one maching features..

From Hotscripts Roomate obviously its not free..

Then i tried to edit and coloum friendfinder module and adresses module for this but i couldnt have what i want becouse of my limited php knowledge..

any XOOPS module devs interested to created that sort of feature?

nobody is interested in that kind of module, i guess..
i thought that would be so useful for every XOOPS users and webmasters..to develop and help their community in their site..

Hi mate,

At the minute, there's a lot of work going on behind the scenes with the core modules of XOOPS for the next release. The devs time is largely being spent modifying and perfecting the forum and news modules in particular at the minute, hence they haven't much time to look at modules outside the core... they need to sleep as well!

That's not to say you should give up on the idea though... somebody here might know of a module that they could hack for Xoops, or might be willing to write it for you... but I just thought I'd let you know what the current situation is.

Are you wanting to charge people for listing items, if not why not consider MyAds. this could prob be tweaked to your needs

and I'm sure that wouldn't be a hard task.

If your determined to have the script you linked to, then you could also ask them, I see they offer custom work, However i see a price tag on that software so licencing would prob be different to XOOPS GPL, and would obvious mean it could not be distributed, so you maybe need to consult with them first anywayz. just a thought
