Top 5 posters of the Month?

Is there any chance of having a Top 5 (or whatever number you like) posters of the month.

At the moment we only have the option of having a Top 10 of all time, and I reckon this will encourage newbies to get involved quicker. This is a must for my particular site as my members seem to love any kind of recognition!

Although it's not directly what your after, there is UserPoints V2 which maybe of interest and was ported by Catz to 2.0.* and can be found @ http://wfsections.xoops2.com/modules/mydownloads/ where members recieve points for forums, news posts, etc.

I've now had the experience of using Userpoints V2 and have to say that it doesn't offer what I want.

I want something that refreshes every month/week/day to zero. And the sideblock needs to be far more like the sideblock for the current Top Posters block displaying name/av/post numbers etc.

Is there still not any way off adding more versatility to the Top Posters sideblock?
