I tested this on Linux and Windows (locally)!

Perhaps you want to look at the preview of debaser 0.8 !BETA! (version numbering is still 0.7)

Not everything is running smooth and not everything is translated to english.

click me for download!

Downloaded. . . testing . . . .
it reports that it is version .7

Nice changes! Batch upload with auto-genre works!

I see the obvious 'need to finish' places - but it is going in the right direction! Kewl kewl Kewl.

Thanks for allowing us to preview the next version.

QUESTION: In English, "Debase" means "To lower in character, quality, or value; degrade." I also know that Debaser is a band from Canada. So what is behind the name of this module? Could the module name play a factor in it's downloading/use?

Perhaps our view differs. What is your opinion?

ANSWER: "Debaser" is one of all-time-favourite songs from The Pixies. I changed from xPlayer to debaser, because xPlayer was already used by a professional media-player-software.

Hmmm . . . it depends. If you want to 'mainstream' the module - it should have a (creative) name that represents it's function or use or application.

If it is just an experiment or something you don't plan to ever make to version 1.0 - then it's name is fine.

For example, a XOOPS novice loads this module - thinks it's kewl but then when people come to their site, they don't know what 'debaser' is so it gets unused (until the owner of the site changes the module name).

Anyone else want to add your thoughts?

I was refering to the areas that have placeholders for variables like "_AM_DEBASER_GOMOD". Regardless everything appears functional. Keep up the good work! THANKS!

"This is not a valid mpeg file"

Please help!

the audio module was working fine but then i decided to upgrade from 2.6 to 2.7 and now when any user (including the admin) in XOOPS 2.7 clicks on a song to play it comes up with "sorry you do not have permission to acess this area" and shoves the pop up to the login page. even though full rights are on and it worked before 2.7 was installed

ITS OK NOW I FIXED IT
you just loggout + turn ur site of for 5 min then back on
(whell thats how i fixed it) its problay just leaving it to sort it self out

I thought that would be good idea if a media-player makes it possible to play songs. Was I wrong? If you just want audio files downloadable, then use a download modules, because they have far more features.

Perhaps I do not see your point, so help me out.
