Changing the templates to set attribuates of mainlinks and to control the behavior of switch vertical sublinks (persist/no persist etc.) is an option, but if these could be optionable in prefs it would be better for the average user.

As Shakespeare said "What's in a name"? I think no matter what the sublinks are called, the docs will need to briefly explain what each is. I do like Dynamic Sublinks better for the current "Switch" types and I like Permanent vs Active for the type of sublinks that are always present vs active only when the mainlink is active.

Thanks for listening to my suggestions.

Any ETA on when you think SmartMenu might be ready for release? I can't wait until that version comes out with the designated parent/child functionality.... that would just be so awesome.

Blueteen and myself are glad to announce the availability of the new test version (this is a test version - no support will be provided!):

http://www.arma-sa.com/download/multiMenu_1.8_beta_14.rar

Quote:

- Some minor bugs corrections
- Better use of the alt and title tags (Use the {alt} tag in your title sentence to separate link title and link alt/title tag. See integrated documentation in the module admin for more).
- documentation and define revised (including a brand new table explaining all the block options)

As usual, comments and appreciations are welcome.

For installation, replace the previous version files, update your module and refedine your blocs settings (bloc settings must be redefined after module update).

Hello Guys! I for the life of me cannot get the dynamic menu links to work. I updated to beta release 10 of 1.8. I have turned all my categories into main links with any sublink as dynamic. Except, when I roll over it, the menu doesn't appear.

http://209.240.152.195/modules/news/

For example, Missions should have 3 sublinks. Can some one PM me and I will give you the admin user and pass and see what the heck I did wrong?

In the bloc admin, you must select the vertical admin setting...

If so, please check your templates (in the template admin section), and be sure they have been updated.

Also, I invite you to grab the latest version multiMenu 1.8 RC1.

Poop, still can't get it to work. At this point I am willing to pay someone to fix this. Any takers? $25 via PayPal.
