I'd like to request an option for events to automatically expire - once over, would be great if it disappeared from the events list so I don't have to remember to remove it (unless there is already a setting for this that I can't find ?)

What criteria for automatically expire ?

On the event submission by user, it would be nice to have a checkbox to turn off that feature. I think it would be a great feature, but personally, I don't want it on my site. I would have a bunch of kids submitting junk submissions.

Thanks for your reply. The criteria is just based on the current date. For example, if I have a conference listed for March 10, after that date my readers won't want to know about it anymore, they just want to know about the upcoming events so they can plan their attendance. I can delete old ones manually sure, but I have a lousy memory :)

Thank you.

In preview eXtcal release past event only apear on various view. Past event don't apear in block. You want to totaly auto remove past event from database ?
I will add "Delete past event (events of more than X month)" feature in admin section.

Re: Feature for a great calendar module ?

Will this module be able to sort by

city
state
country
area code

I think your doing a wonderful job with this module. I did notice that you have the option to pick which news module to link to. I have new AMS Donator version installed it did not detect it. The module stills says I need news installed.

How bout a personal page that connects to the event info.

Say its a venue, music band, business ect...

If this has already been covered sorry.

What I meant was if you have an "Add An Event" link on the calendar any place, have a feature in the Admin area to disable it for Anonymous or even registered users so it doesn't display. Most of the calendars that I have seen leave this on it without that option.

Also, Just noticed, if I go directly to the v1 of the extCal (http://www.koltz.com/rrsd2/modules/extcal/), most dates I don't have an end time on them. But it comes up here as 1969/12/31 when no end date/time is selected.

Another nice feature would be to not have to choose a time on the calendar at all. As an example, I am currently testing v1 using it for events, sporting events, breakfast/lunch menus. Lunch menus don't have times along with some events, but it would come up as 00:00 when I select it just for no purpose (or whatever time I select).
