Yep, my mistake. I downloaded the index.php with Fresh Download, but is the same as using View Source option of course.

viewing the source of the page from a browser is no good other than as a quick diagnosis.. if you want to change the layouts then you have to start looking at the actual templates. but the paths are taken from the xoops_url provided in mainfile.php


m0nty i am trying to understand but u must explain to me like am a 2 year old cause i didn' t quite get it yet...

i understand that my last step is to clear the template_c contents after i do some changes...but i don't understand what changes i should make.. i thought the mainfile.php looked ok? so what do i have to change?

i went to portal/moduls/system/templates/blocks/system_block_mainmenu.html

and this is what i found in it.. this is the whole file

LINE 13 I added a few days ago myself

i have added a few days ago since i added a link to the main menu.. i did that following instructions from this forum from this link
