It looks like you just uploaded some 'wrong material' to the /modules directory. Cleaning that could maybe solve the problem.

I don't see anything there except that index.html. I deleted it and it still didn't help. I took out the moduleinstall folder too just in case. I'm using ftp and all I see is folders of modules.

OK, I may have found it. Installing modules and see what happens.

You need really XOOPS 2.5.5 for the Basic Module Pack (you said that you have XOOPS Version 2.5.1a)

All these modules are being tested only on XOOPS 2.5.5 and now on XOOPS 2.5.6 Beta.
