haven't gotten that far to install modules yet! Still working on the standard ones that come with the install

the dirs were all set at 0755
so.. looked at the files uploaded closer.
found the problem .. about 5 files (from the modules/profile dir) transfered to the server but with nothing in them. I was counting files before and didn't glance at size! I re uploaded them. It didn't fix the problem.. so I did another install from the beginning and it worked. I now have the user profile module!!

yep those were the only files I put higher on the chain!

I'll check out xampp, I definately would experiment more if I was doing this on my pc!

Well, I think I finally have a good install of the core pgm!

next will be modules!! YIKES!!! (just kidding)
