Is the above the name of the folders in your root directory?

The foldername in the root of the site should be "Frameworks", and the xoopseditor folder would go in your class folder.

HTH.

No those are the Versions as they were written, I copied them from the php file. The folder name in the root of the site is "Frameworks", and the xoopseditor folder is in my class folder.
Thank you for your response, any idea as to my problem? Anybody?

i repeat i dont find "newbb_get_topics_viewed" function in cbb 3.08 package so it seems there is a problem in your uploaded files.
try to delete all files under "newbb" folder and reupload them again.

I didn't check permissions no, can you tell me what they should be

after install/upgrade you should set/check permissions for access , read , post , reply , ... to each forum in newbb --> admin --? permissions

Thank you irmtfan I will try that, I didn't mean to ignore that option. I think you are right in recommending this. I will post tomorrow as to my outcome..... wish me luck!

edited to say: don't know what I was thinking! , yes I did all of this...was thinking at the time the Forum admin in this new version is WAY nicer than the one I had.

I did this this morning and everything went well, so far no errors and the module/newbb page is there with the Forum names BUT the posts are NOT there. They ARE there in the Forum admin, I can click on each and browse the posts. What do I do?? I've checked everything twice and set the permissions in the Forum admin.
Thank you for any help you can give me.

I don't wish to labour the point, but in Forums Admin>Permissions have you been through the each of the permission sets in the lower of the two drop-down menus - the one that is initially labelled "Category Access"?

You are best going through all of these permission sets one by one. If the posts are visible in admin then it is likely to be a permissions issue.

Also, in Groups Admin, have you set "Module Accress Rights" for the relevant user-groups?

Sorry if you'vre already done this, but I'm sure that the solution is relatively simple

Yes have set permissions from Category access down to Can post witout approval. I went back over it twice then set a default permission template and applied it.....tried these things with no luck yet. Also tried (In forum admin) clicking on edit next to each forum and checking apply default permissions.
In forum admin I can click on each forum and see the topics and old posts.
I agree it seems there should be a simple solution such as permissions. Can you think of anything else I need to try?

Since you can see the topics and posts, it must be a permissions problem. Templates are fine, database is fine, module install is fine.

How about something bigger - the group access to the module/blocks?

In System Admin? Yes I checked that too, permissions are set there.
Is this what you meant?
I feel like I'm missing something stupid.

i remember a same issue i had with a site before but i didnt remember the solution!
could you get us a screen shot?
but i think trying these and see the result are worthy:
1- synchronize forum in cbb admin --> synchronize
2- if you have a custom template delete it and create a new and if its original try to create custom template for your cbb
3- update cbb in module admin

4- turn on php debug and MySQL debug and see if there is any error in cbb index page

O.K. Here is a shot of my Forum Admin.
Resized Image

Here is one while in admin of what is under the Forum tab:

Resized Image

Here is one of one of the forums, named General (again within admin)

I know I have not uploaded the icons yet.

Here is the thread within the General forum-AGAIN within Admin:

Resized Image

Now here is the Forum page,
http://ecmhc.com/members/modules/newbb

Resized Image

What is there is Empty.

I syncronized...

My options for debug are
Inline mode - no errors
Popup mode - no errors
Smarty Templates debug - I get this

And no errors on the page the forum tables are on.

Has blown my mind.
