you need to create some categories 1st in newbb admin
then create a new forum in each category and assign a moderator, then assign group permissions to each..

no need to edit any files.. just goto XOOPS admin and click the newbb module img and you'll see all the settings..

I have looked in the admin and I do not have a newbb in admin.

Sould I be in "Systems admin>Modules>?

if so in the list there is NO newbb file !!!!

it might be labelled forum or message board

Hi,
I have gone to the fourms folder and when I hover over this I can not see the image folder. However, when I click on "Index" I see a few tabs, NO image tab and there is a message at the bottom that reads:

Xoops Poll Module: Available
ImageMagicK: Not available
NetPBM: Not available
GD1 library: Not available
GD2 library: Autodetected: bundled (2.0.28 compatible)
Path for attachment storing: /home/fhlinux200/t/theeclub.com/user/htdocs// ( Available )
Path for attached image thumbs: /home/fhlinux200/t/theeclub.com/user/htdocs//thumbs/ ( Available

Any idears?

the image folder isn't displayed there u select the imageset in the preferences section of the forum

Hi,

There is NO imageset in the preferences section. All I have there is "Enable Notification" & "Enable Specific Events"

Please advise.

it's somewhere in the settings.. just go through em all till u see it..

It's NOT there, I have looked and looked I must have the wrong place or this is an old newbb modual.

when I go to admin menu> (hover over the "Fourm" module I have:
Index
Categories
Forums
Sync forums
Reorder
Prune
Reports
Blocks
Digest
Votes
Preferences

And in NONE of them are what you are discribing above is this the correct place and maybe the wrong module.

Let start from the begening first direct me to the latest newbb2 ? file I will reload this and see if this takes affect.
