Not as much compliance as it is just easier

XOOPS has some quite useful functions (I just added checkEmail and formatTimestamp, so you are right in thinking that it wasn't there before)

oh no - they aren't new. Not at all. I think they are leftovers from the *nuke days.

I just meant that I had just added the description to the dev wiki.
