Hi all,

I logged into my site today to look and see who all had registered when I found someone with the username "testing".

I then looke dto see what the email address was which was na@na.na. I knew that was bogus so I hit the delete button to delete him and it said Admin can't be deleted.

How in the world did he get Admin status when I'[m the only Admin. Now I'm scared he will take full control of my site.

Any help is appreciated.

Shut down the site for now (password protect the site).
Upgrade to 2.0.7 and then delete the testing account.
Change your admin password.

Precautions:
Always confirm your user account with an email of confirmation key;
Disable user change email option.

log in to phpmyadmin and do a hard-remove of that person's account, otherwise you might have difficulty keeping them out for now (but since your site is currently fubar'd, that's kinda a blessing in disguise)

My host (Cyberpixels.com) says I was hacked because I wasn't upgraded to the newest version. He said all of the servers are very secure.
Do you think that could have been the case?
