Personal Message is not working

When I enter "View Account" and then click button PM (Personal Message) nothing happens. If I use Internet Explorer it says error on this page.

What I tried?
I did a clean install and checked that PM is working there allright. Also when I direct my former install directory to the newly created db, PM works fine (so the problem should be the db, nothing wrong with the files).

I compared the 2 databases, and set all options in the old db just like in the newbb, still the problem continues.

Configuration in Preferences Main »» Mail Setup:
Mail delivery method PHP mail()
Path to sendmail /usr/sbin/sendmail

Somebody has an idea?

Please take a look at the troubleshooting (debugging) methods outlined in the Xoops Tutorial. It may help you identify the problem.. or at least narrow it down,

please hold on ... I just noticed that PM in the former install works allright, when I set the theme back to default. So the problem with PM is connected to the theme I am using. I will have a look at it and post the solution when found.

I am serious. Debugging is the quickest and easiest way to narrow down problems. it's not a "last resort" thing.

did you find the solution to this problem?

I am having the same problem with the default theme. It works fine with my secondary theme though.

Please Help

I found the problem.

I had to add the following lines to the <head> section of the theme.html file.

<script type="text/javascript">
<!--
<{$xoops_js}>
//-->
</script>
