I am not sure if this will come out right. I want to know what the code or mechanism is that makes XOOPS "show blocks" I know about the control panel and making blocks visible and the position etc, but I am curious to know if it is possible to show a block or how to show a block in a static html page....ie not using the XOOPS index.php page.

Hope that makes sense

This isn't possible. You have to do it the other way round. Wrap your static html page in XOOPS with a content module like TinyContent, Cjay-Content, FreeContent, wf-Channel or wf-Sections. After that you can control the blocks for these modules.

I love Tinyd for static content!

I also have created several custom blocks of static HTML to layout my main page.
