OK.

I use the ArMS module for our staff hand book. It's a pretty good fit to function. However, the users would prefer if the menu labelled the module "Staff Handbook". So, I read thru the docs and decided that what I needed to do was to edit /xoops/modules/arms/language/english/modinfo.php and alter the name assignment to

define('_MI_ARMS_NAME'='Staff Handbook')

But...it doesn't seem to work. Am I missing something obvious? Can anyone explain where the menus pick up the module names for the menus and so on?

Thanks in advance.

Jim

Hey there, I am newbie to XOOPS to but what I think you need to do is this:got admin>modules scroll down to your module and you can type in a new name from there, there is a white box whre you type in the name. The new name will appear on the Main Menu.

Hope this helps
