hi.. go to www.sharetrader.com.au

can you see the blocks that contain tables, the bulge to the right.. out of the block.. and make the page wider than the screen.. eg it has a sidebar to scroll sideways

any idea why this is? makes the site look very ugly...

You have two sets of css style definitions for each block. Not sure what you are trying to accomplish and I assume you know what you are doing by adding those.

You will have to clean up yourself. Starting pioint - stick to the orginal theme and read
DefaultThemeCSS

as tl suggests, you have two style sheets which are applicable to some of the same html; this is very confusing. and, why are you using float properties. these are not necessary with tables. where did you get this theme from?

it was a ready made theme ocean_blue, i just changed the colors..

anyway.. look if its too hard dont worry about it. i have worked with tables/themes extensively

i was just looking to fix the 1 particular problem, not the theme

the problem is why the blocks with tables inside them turn to oversize?

i understand that, however to find why this is occurring is difficult due to coding. again why the float properties with tables (i edited these out and your site did not change)?

you are loading essentially the same style sheet twice which makes your site that much heavier. style sheet links should be in header.

did the original theme come like this?

also, have a look at your site using firefox and opera. you can see the conflicts there.

edit: also noticed a java script that likely controls the width to 750px. is that what it is for?
