[edit: just tried another source http://www.golem.de/backends/golemrdf_10.rdf and there it is working. So my first tested link might not be ok ...]

it´s working as expected. I hope this fixes the problematic streams for cbhelms too. (as i only installed to test at this moment)

Nice find.

Actually i have no clue why i missed it. Because i´m pretty sure i did a search for 'RSS' as searchword before posting. I concentrated on looking for a different module but usually i should have checked the forum threads too.
(seems i am getting older ... actually thats not far from the truth since about 90 minutes )

Well everyone is aging at this moment.

I did test it, so it is working. I am not sure about cbhelms' problem, I think cbhelms said he/she could see the items in the module, but not in the block.

Yep, he did. Maybe cbhelms can give 1 or 2 an example adress es for non-working feeds?

Weird, being talked about in third person. Kinda freaky.

Any way, I had the same problem with the RSS feeds not coming through at all, then I red the same post and started looking for the RSS 2.0 feeds.

Here are the two feeds I am testing with right now:
http://www.microsite.reuters.com/rss/topNews
http://rss.news.yahoo.com/rss/topstories

The first is a UTF-8 encoded feed and the Second is a ISO-8859-1 encoded feed.

Sorry cbhelms, I would probbaly had felt the same way - being hijacked of your own thread.

The two sites you mentioned work just fine (with the new parser file)

Np, I know the feeds are good. But, were you able to get them to show up in the Headlines Block on the Top Page?

What version of XOOPS and headlines are you using. I can't even get the XOOPS feed to show up. I have removed the module, reinstalled from original archive, and still no luck.

I am using XOOPS 2.0.7. There is something wrong with your installation that you need to figure it out.
