Somehow all of my users got deleted from my site. Luckily I had most of them backed up. When i try to import them though - they can only see the banner. Why is this?

Also, when I create myself as a new user and try to give myself admin rights manually (because I don't have any administrator) it won't give me access to the admin module. How can i manually give myself admin rights?

If have phpmyadmin installed, you could manually set your account from level 1 to level 5 (user table)

Log in xoops, then do directly

yoursite/modules/system/admin.php?fct=groups

set module admin right to all modules

I've tried setting my level to 5 and my rank to 7 but this still doesn't give me access to the admin module.

Is there another place XOOPS checks before it shows the 'administration' link on the User Menu?

Another thing you could try is to modify the groups_users_link table. Set your account groupid to 1.

thanks, that was it.

i didn't realize that for every user they have to have a record in the groups_users_link table.
