Hi,

I just managed a quick look ....

Quote:
in the main menu there are two tiny content entries which both failed.

Yes, these are the ones that are the problem. I don't see why the links in the Tiny Content Menus should work, but those in the main menu give the "Page not found".

Thanks,

Alan

Hi,

In between times I've deleted all my problem modules and installed a completely new downloaded TinyD.
I've added 1 test content page and that (sub)link works out of my main menu. However the Main TinyD link in my main menu - called "tinycontent" - still doesn't work.

(I'm slowly going up the wall with this problem...)

The difference between the dead and working links is:
- Dead link - ".../modules/tinycontent/"
- Working link - ".../modules/tinycontent/index.php?id=1"

I've noticed that when click on the dead link in IE I actually get an "Server oder DNS can not found" error and not a 404.

To reach the TinyD module you need to log in as:
LogIn "OT"
Pass "tester"

Has anyone an idea what's happening here? - lots of other people seem to be able to use TinyD ok.

Many thanks,

Alan

Hi alan,

would it be possible to open administration right to the OT user? Just to have a look to the settings of this modules and blocks?

I guess you doesn't modify anything in the standard and just adapt the theme (beautiful really) of your site.

Hi,

Thanks for your feedback - I wish I could say that the background graphic was from me but the orchestra has its own designer and I've just borrowed it. I'm only glad that I knew a bit about MS Alpha filters, otherwise you could hardly read parts of the text. Unfortunately the half-transparent background in my tables doesn't work in modules without templates such as "Sections" (try the "Orte, Zeiten & Termine" Link) but that is another subject....

and just adapt the theme

Yes, this my first attempt at a theme. If I'd known that it would be so complicated, then I think it would have been better if I had made a simple html site in the new style and then worked on the XOOPS version later.

I almost forgot, OT has now administrative rights for TinyD

Best wishes,

Alan

hi Alan.
It might be a problem of redirection.
You can edit the parameter of header() in line 54 of index.php.
header"Location: {$_SERVER['PHP_SELF']}?id=$storyid) ;

change {$_SERVER['PHP_SELF']} intohttp://http://mysql.snafu.de:10007//xoops/modules/$mydirname

p.s. Why don't you set XOOPS_URL ashttp://mysql.snafu.de:10007/xoops/ instead of
http://mysql.snafu.de:10007//xoops/ ?

Hi Alan,

I think GIjoe had found the problem because I came to the same analisys.

I have noted that if you enter the link "http://mysql.snafu.de:10007//xoops/modules/tinycontent/" in your browser it return an error.

I think you have to check the index.php file to see what is done if no ID are received.

Hi,

well you guys seem to have the answer.

I can't remember why I had the second "/" now - it was a long time ago when I started installing this, my first XOOPS site, and I only remember being very uncertain of what all the words mean....
But it seemed to work - and you don't touch working systems....

Until now, that is.

Keep up the good work GIJoe.
And thank you Jean-Louis, in particular for your patience last week, when my nerves were rather frayed and I mixed up the password info.

Alan
