A slight problem when modifying my account

I'm running a site on XOOPS 2.0.6 and I have encountered a slight problem when the useres try to modify their account.

The trouble is that every time they 'submit' their modifications, three dots (...) are added to the signature field and the extra info field.

Does anyone else experience this and even better, does anyone know how to remedy this problem?

It is a known bug with the xoops_substr function. Skalpa is working on a solution.
