Somehow I was able to put the mylinks module on the start page but now I don't know how to put it back.

Please help.

System Admin->Preferences->General Settings
Module for your start page
select mylinks module

Ti is correct, but let me just add something here; If you want to put "it" back, you may mean the original setup, ie. remove mylinks and put back the original. Ok if so set "nothing" or "news", or whatever module you want.
