How to prevent normal user from having access to submit news !!!

Hi could someone tell me how I can prevent normal registered users from having access to submit news while still allowing my moderators to have access to the submit news section. Currently anonymous users can't view the submit news section however I don't know how to generate the same effect for registered users. Someone please help me.

hey ff7799,

you can create a group, name it what you want and then set access. go system admin -> groups -> create a group.

will likey take a little time to customize, but it will work.

ok, I thought about that however how does that prevent regular registered members from submiting news.

Someone please help me with the delema.

News v1.2 lets you decide per usergroup, who can submit articles, and who can edit/approve them.
Link in the main menu will only show up to users, who can submit news.

It is currently in RC2 status, but I have not had any bug reports. If you upgrade from an existing news module, remember to read UPGRADE.txt in the package.
