Does your smarty.class.php have this and does it extend to the full line 2703 ?
My guess is you lost some of the smarty file in transfer to your site... This happens to me when I unzip the file on my local machine and then have to upload the files individually since I don't have shell access to my web server where I could just unzip it in the web folder.
If this is the case... you probably have other files missing as well.. try the ftp upload again checking files as you go.
