hey all,

i host both my domains with same isp (so). presently i am only able to edit one of my domain's database because it shows up in both domains control panel. my isp to this point has not been able to correct this issue. has anyone ever experienced this issue?

You have two domains hosted with a database each?

Can't the host just let you create another database? I'm afraid I cannot help more than that.

hey Mithrandir,

thanks for your reply. the domains each have separate control panels, database etc., but both control panels show the same database thus i am able to edit only the one database.

Right - but since that is your ISP not being able to give you what you pay for, they should be able to add another database to the account, should they not?

Hope you find a solution - or rather that your ISP does.

Maybe you can access it through phpMyAdmin. If the phpMyAdmin module is installed in each website you should be able to access each database.

Hope it helps.

Just had to ask.

Are both websites showing the same data?

That's a tough one.
If all the path's are correct I'm not sure, but I think I read once a while ago, that you shouldn't make your databases names real close to the same and with the same password. Maybe that's why, but not sure.
Maybe tell more so someone else might know.

do you use cpanel?
is it a sub domain?
Server type?
MySql version?

I assume that this is new and you never used it, or did it just happen out of the blue?
