Sorry, I did not make it clear, news module access right. Are you sure you don't want people other than registered users to see your news?

Yep. It's free to register. It's a community page (homebrewers of beer and wine)... so they get the greeting. If they want to read news, just dang register.

So, how do I do that?

Admin Menu > System > Groups
Click on "modify" alongside "anonymous users"
Uncheck "Recent News" in Center under Block Access Rights.
:)
*edit* May also want to uncheck "News" in Module Acees Rights in the same area.

Would that it were that simple... I tried that already.

have a link at the url.

The only thing ACTIVE in the center block is my custom notice block.

If I disable access to news, they get a 'unauthorized' warning, then are redirected to a page where the LOGON is the only thing in the center block.

Sorry, I should have noticed you already tried that :(

I know this is a long shot... what happens if you select a different theme as default?

Another thought....

Go to Admin Menu > System admin > Preferences > Click on General Settings (edit)

Where it says "Module for start page" Select "none" and see what happens.

THAT seems to have worked.. now I have to see if it still shows news blocks on the registered user page.
