Hi,

i actually never played around with cvs whatsover so did some reading but it didn´t help me.

I wanted to access the cvs files for the newbb.
(anonymous as described here)

So what did i do?

- downloaded Tortoise CVS for Windows and installed it
- i copied the string cvs -z3 -d:ext:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/xoops co modules/newbb and put it into tortoise which automaticly seems to fill the other fields just fine
- if i try to connect (get list) i will get this error:

[size=x-small]cvs checkout: CVSROOT "cvs -z3 -d:ext:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/xoops co modules/newbb"
must be an absolute pathname
CVS [checkout aborted]: Bad CVSROOT[/size]

Also if i enter 'newbb' into the module field insted of using 'Get list' i have exactly the same result.

As i used copy&paste there shouldn´t be a typo in it. Also i played with the path but to no good.

Here's what I use with TortoiseCVS.

CVSROOT:
:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/xoops

Module:
modules/newbb

The "Fetch list" function doesn't seem to work, but if I click "OK" it will download the files.

Yeah, tortoise seems not to like the co thing - but put the string in the modules field instead.
