ok ive reverted back to 1.3.1
to make all new accounts auto registered ive figured out that i have to set the following on sign up :
$uorder="0"
$actkey=""
$level="1"
in the file : xoopsuser.php
put the above just before the 2nd insert statement
then i edited the user.php file in the english language folder :
You are now registered. However, we were unable to send the activation mail to your email account due to an internal error occurred on our server. We are sorry for the inconvenience, but please contact the webmaster by mail.
to :
You are now registered. Please login.
woot figured it all myself and im a php newbie :P
(edited) err it appears that level 1 is not sufficient to look at everything. anyone know what the registered level is ? i discovered this by trying to look at the forum.

ok it appears that new modules ive activated are not accessible to anyone other than an admin. how do i change that in 1.3.1 ?

sorted......permissions were in the admin panel, i just overlooked them. sorry about the spam :P
