When I set up XOOPS I enetered an incorrect URL for the site. I cannot find where to change it. Tried menus, mainfile.php. The symtom is that when new users resgister the url in their email is incorrect.

If you can get to your site by url, get a page displayed and only need to setup email address.

Goto Admin>system admin>preferences>mail setup
You can change email address there.

Are these correct in mainfile.php?

// XOOPS Physical Path
// Physical path to your main XOOPS directory WITHOUT trailing slash
define('XOOPS_ROOT_PATH', ...);

// XOOPS Virtual Path (URL)
// Virtual path to your main XOOPS directory WITHOUT trailing slash
define('XOOPS_URL', ...);

Thanks everyone for your help. It turned out that the problem refected something else. I had in fact edited the mainfile.php but for it to work with my dyndns account I needed it to relect the web url but when I browsed the site from insite the network (from behind a NAT server) the site didn't work properly. I managed to fix this by adding the Dyndns URL to the host files in windows and pointed that URL at the local LAN IP address.
