Hi,

I'm trying Xoops. It looks like a nice and good CMS but I wonder if I can work with it.
I have an existing website. I host it on my own server. It is running apache, php and mysql. I configured apache with 7 virtual hosts. They are all running on different ports.
My original website is running on port 81. My test website is running on port 82 and is not open for outsite my network. I'm testing XOOPS on port 83 and this is allso not open voor outsite my network. I wonder if I had tunning it so that I'm sadisfied with it if I can copy it to the virtual directory witch is running my orignal website. Is taht possible or do I have to reconfigure it than again?

So if I say it simple I need for XOOPS 2 virtual dirs. One for the original website for outsite and one for testing and if my testing site is ok I need to make a copy to the original. Is that simple possible in Xoops??

XOOPS is configured through
a) mainfile.php, which is specific for putting database location, username and password as well as server URL and physical path

b) database settings

if you move it to another location, you should edit the mainfile.php to suit the new location and if you use another database for the new location, export the XOOPS tables from the test database and import to the live site. That's all
