How do you add users to custom groups?

I made a custom group for selected registered users I specify to view different parts of the site. I made the group in the admin menu, but unsure how to associate users to that group. I may dive into phpmyadmin to see if i can change it there. Just wondering if there was an easier way for future use.

That's done on the same admin page. Click the Modify link at the top for the group you want to change. Then use the Edit Members of this Group form at the bottom.
