I don't know if I can live without the caching feature to support this fix but I may consider it until an upgrade or hack covers this need.

Xoops does seem to play well with Google however, I actually feel I have an advantage in Google indexing vs. my competitors which is contrary to commonly held opinions of CMS driven sites. They seem to love having fresh content to parse via the RSS feed, everything I throw on it is immediately added to Google News. But I know that even considering that, there is a need to properly index articles to draw in readers to your topic and site through random SE queries. Crossing my fingers...
