Just set up XOOPS for the first time and it works great apart from the link to the WEB LINKS is broken and I can't work out what it is. There is an index.php file in the relevant module folder and the link file points at it.

Anyone else experienced this problem or know what it may be? i changed the name to Yellow Pages but that doesn't seem to the issue.

Still no joy with this link and nowt advice on this board - so am reposting. The link is

http://www.organicchoices.org/modules/mylinks/

It was working and now it is not. Tried removing the mylinks directory and uploading the same (unused) directory from another XOOPS site. But still didn't work.

What other proceedures should I go through to fix this? Any help appreciated...

Try to turn the debugging on. What do you get?

Thanks for the response - I've tried all 3 debugging options but i am still getting an "HTTP 500 - Internal server error - page cannot be displayed". Nothing more.

The rest of the navigation links are fine. The debug window is popping up too on those pages.

I can see the index.php file at modules/mylinks/index.php so that path seems ok.

I read somewhere else on the board that an update of the system module and then of mylinks module might work with someone else's problem. Tried it. Didn't fix it.

So I suppose the only thing to do is reinstall?

It's not a permission problem...

Today, I tried to fix it again. I deleted the MySQL table and entries for Mylinks then reloaded the system and mylinks modules, and that didn't effect it apart from I am now getting a message saying "ERROR". The error reporting functions are still not working on this page.

The error message is related to:

$result=$xoopsDB->query("SELECT cid, title, imgurl FROM ".$xoopsDB->prefix("mylinks_cat")." WHERE pid = 0 ORDER BY title") or exit("Error");

The error indicates that there seem to be entries in mylinsks_cat table.

You need to install the module by
deactivate -> uninstall
then re-install.
