is it possable to dynamically changing the layout based on group permissions. I want to use a different theme for registered users and use another theme for non members. Any ideas?

I don't know about a complete different theme, but it may be possibile to reffer to some different images based on the status of the person logged in... perhaps using the groups variable as part of the name or something?

Just a thought....

in the database & in xoops_users table u can set default theme for every user.

but i cant see this options in the xoops_groups table or somewhere like that

i look at the database tonight and tell u best way

Thanks for the replays, I am trying to have a customer side of the site with no login and a dealer side with login. Once a dealer logs in then they will have a different theme that they would be working within. But I have had no luck in trying to do this...newbee...

Any help with get great.

accessing group membership info from Smarty

After you've done that, copy the code for all themes you want to use to 1 theme.html, and enclose each layout with if-statements, to select the layout you wish to use.
