can anyone tell m how can i Change the small XOOPS logo that is in the title bar, and in addition to tat when i am accessing my site as anonyymous user, it displays welcome to mysite.com which is something i already changed, but it is still appearing

Look in the XOOPS root directory there you will find a file called favicon.ico you can replace that file with another of the same name different image. It must be in the .ico format. Search google for tools to build this image file.

your title bar text is controlled by your site title. This is set in system admin>preferences. Regarding the favicon.icon: You can use any graphic that has a dimension of 16X16 pixels and saved as favicon.ico You can use any graphic programme like paint of photoshop. Essentially what you need is the ability to work on individual pixels, so you need a dropper and zoom function. Remember, it must be 16X16 only. Another point ... Remember to clear you browser cache before testing as it may not show any changes. That should be my tagline I think )
